We are joined by Irish novelist Rob Doyle, who is now best known for his work of delirious auto-fiction Threshold, a series of vignettes documenting the writer's drug usage and travels, and more recently Autobibliography (2021), which collects various essays on books that Rob has held closely throughout his career and becomes a kind of memoir told through the books that made him: Marcus Aurelius, Houellebecq, Nietzsche, the Tibetan Book of the Dead, and more.
Rob is currently posted up in Sinagapore on a
residency, and tells us about the bizarrely functional control
society that the city has become.
